Ada County Same-Day Arrest Window
The county's actual same-day data lives in the Ada County Sheriff's Office Arrests application. A View control there lets you pick the window. Options include Last 4 Hours, Last 24 Hours, or Last 5 Days. The 24-hour option serves as the daily arrest report. Pick the 4-hour window for very fresh bookings. Both views come from one official endpoint through the page control. There are no separate permanent URLs to save.
Every recent arrest that enters the Ada County system can show up here, whether the arresting agency was ACSO, Boise Police, Meridian Police, Idaho State Police, or another department. Remember that this is not the jail roster. An arrest card can linger in the window after release. Someone may also be housed before all public fields appear. Read the arrest time, the selected view, and the page state together. Some cards include a booking photo taken during processing.
Check Ada County Arrests Today
Start with the report's own View selector. The search field accepts a precise name, but city, age, or arrest date also work. Sorting by arrest date keeps the true sequence intact. Otherwise an older Ada County arrest can look newer just because the list was sorted by name or status.
- Open the official ACSO Arrests application and select Last 24 Hours. Use Last 4 Hours for an even narrower recent check.
- Enter the person’s name, city, age, or arrest date. Then sort by arrest date and choose the direction that places the newest events where expected.
- Match the full displayed details. Similar names can occur, so compare age, city, arrest time, and arresting agency before relying on a result.
- Open or expand the arrest entry to read each charge, statute, severity, type, and any available photo or VINE link.
- For present housing, check the separate inmate roster and its timestamp. Call ACSO when a current release or custody answer is important.
Need more than today? The Ada County recent-arrests hub maps the wider roster, booking-photo, records, and court paths. The daily view stays deliberately narrow. It tells you whether a recent arrest event appears, nothing more. For hands-on use, the official ACSO arrest-report interface is the place to start.
The image shows the official source page itself, not a republished gallery of people. Use the live interface, since names, times, charges, and status can all change.
Ada County Arrest Report Fields
Each daily report entry pairs a person-level summary with detailed charge rows. The fields describe the booking event itself. They say nothing about the later case result.
| Field | What it means in the report |
|---|---|
| Name, city, state, and age | Identity details used to distinguish possible matches. |
| Arrest date and time | The event time displayed by ACSO, useful for checking whether it belongs in the rolling window. |
| Status and charge count | A short interface indicator and number of charge rows. Do not assign a legal meaning to an unexplained one-letter status. |
| Agency | The law-enforcement agency associated with the arrest entry. |
| Charge, statute, and severity | Charges recorded at booking, with cited law and classification as displayed. |
| Charge type | May say criminal charge, warrant, out-of-county warrant, or fugitive. |
| Booking photo or VINE link | May appear on an entry. Neither item proves guilt or present jail housing. |
Bond is not a universal field here. The separate roster shows bail only when release is an option for the charge. Court dates, prosecutor filings, dismissals, pleas, verdicts, and sentences all live elsewhere. The Idaho court record holds all of them. This recent-event view does not.
Note: Record the source timestamp and view setting when accuracy matters, because a rolling report can shift later the same day.
Why Ada Arrests Can Lag
Three clocks run at once after an Ada County arrest. One tracks physical intake, one drives the recent-arrest report, and one governs the custody roster. ACSO promises no fixed minutes from arrest to public photo. Staff must finish identification, property, and charge work first. Sometimes the report displays a booking first. The roster refreshes on its own clock. It can briefly show a stale status after release. The roster itself warns that its database updates every 24 hours.
The arrest report rolls continuously, but no minute-by-minute guarantee exists. A July 2024 ACSO CAD outage notice shows why. Public web displays and public safety operations do not always move together. Dispatch kept running through backup processes that day. That incident is history, not a current problem. Still, it argues for checking timestamps and confirming directly.
Verify Ada County Jail Custody
Once you spot an arrest event, move to the Ada County inmate roster. It asks for at least the first letter or letters of a last name. Choose the right match. Read the Mountain Time "as of" stamp. Then open the detail page. The roster covers adults the jail says are housed for criminal offenses and excludes juveniles.
The roster answers a housing question. The arrest report answers an event question. A person can sit on one list and not the other for good reasons. ACSO asks users to confirm current status in person or by phone at 208-577-3000. Recent changes may lag. For release or transfer alerts on one person, the VINELink Inmate Check handles that separate notification workflow. The official Ada County inmate roster appears in the search view shown here.
The screenshot reinforces the roster's distinct role: search it for current housing, and heed its refresh warning rather than treating it as a same-day arrest list.
- Arrest
- A law-enforcement event that begins the process.
- Booking
- Jail intake that records identity, charges, property, and related data.
- Roster
- A current housed-person snapshot, separate from the daily arrest feed.
- Disposition
- The court’s later resolution, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or conviction.
Ada County Arrest Fallbacks
When the daily report leaves a question open, work down the official list in order. Start with the current jail roster. It shows who is in custody at that moment. Next, call the Ada County Sheriff's Office. The public number is 208-577-3000. Need the record itself, not just a status answer? Use the ACSO Public Records Request process or call the records unit at 208-577-3012.
A strong request lists the full name and date of birth, the approximate arrest or booking date, the arresting agency, and any report or case number you know. State exactly what you want. That might be the booking report, a booking photo, the charge sheet, or the release record. ACSO quotes a normal response window of 3 to 10 business days. Fees can apply. So can legal exemptions. One limit stands out: the office can supply Ada County arrest history only for people actually booked into the Ada County Jail, never a statewide history.
For an arrest older than one day but still recent, the Weekly Arrest Log lays out the official five-day view. Anything past that public window goes through the records path or a court search. One last tip. "Not online" does not mean no record exists.
Ada Arrest App Boundaries
Ada County also has a mobile presence. The official ACSO App Store developer listing shows an app named "ADA County Sheriff's Office-Idaho" and a release labeled "Reference View." The listing names no inmate search, arrest report, booking-photo, or release-alert feature. Treat the app as a companion. It should not replace the confirmed web applications.
ACSO social accounts share agency news and safety alerts. They run no regular booking-photo schedule. The web arrest report still owns the 4-hour and 24-hour views. The roster still owns county jail housing. Idaho VINE stays the official notification system for participating custody events.
Note: Treat app and social posts as supplemental agency information unless ACSO expressly labels a feature as a complete arrest or custody source.
Ada Arrests and Court Outcomes
Warrant entries can carry a wrinkle. One may reflect another county or a fugitive classification without any explanation. The arrest card itself gives no case narrative.
For the fuller story, the official arrest application points to the Idaho iCourt Odyssey Portal for criminal-case status. Select Ada County there. Then match the person or case number with care. The court docket takes over from there. It is the proper handoff for filings and every later development.
